Pakistani villagers protested on Sunday against missile strikes from unmanned U.S. aircraft, as at least six suspected militants were killed in two separate attacks.
"Any person who is a friend of America is a traitor," the protesters chanted, among other slogans against Washington and the Central Intelligence Agency.
About 900 people protested against the drone strikes the town of Mir Ali in North Waziristan on Sunday.
The protest was organized by a group of locals, who claim to be innocent victims of the strikes drone.
Most local businesses have been closed because of the protest, which had the support of students, businessmen and traders.
"If the drone attacks did not stop, we'll take the gun instead of the pen against the United States," said a student protestor.
Suspected U.S. drones have carried out two strikes in northwest Pakistan on Sunday, killing four suspected militants and two in the second one two intelligence officials said.
In the first attack, the suspect aircraft fired two missiles at the vehicle of the militants in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, one of seven districts in Pakistan's tribal region bordering Afghanistan volatile.
Activists of the second attack was mounted on a motorcycle near Datta Khel, when they were hit by a missile drone, officials said.
The officials requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.
North Waziristan is one of seven districts in the tribal region of Pakistan and widely regarded as a haven for Al-Qaeda militant groups that attack U.S. forces and NATO at the border in Afghanistan.
Washington has urged the Pakistan army to launch an offensive in North Waziristan, but she refused, saying its troops are out of breath at least 10 other military operations elsewhere.
The Obama drones have intensified attacks targeting Pakistan's tribal region with more than 100 attacks last year, mainly by the North Waziristan.
The United States is the only country in the region known capability to launch missiles, drones, which are controlled remotely.
U.S. officials generally do not comment on the suspected drone strikes.
